Hector the Vector

Refunds and cancellation

Last updated 23 September 2026

Converting and looking are free and unlimited, so you can see exactly what Hector does before you pay a penny. This page says what happens to your money if you stop.

Who you are dealing with. Hector the Vector is a sole trader business in the United Kingdom, at postcode EC2Y 8AY. Write to hello@hectorthevector.com and a person will answer, normally within two working days. Our full postal address is available on request by email, and is held by our payment provider.

The price you see is the whole amount you pay. Nothing is added at the checkout.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account page, or by emailing us — a plain email saying you want to stop is enough. There is nothing to phone and no button hidden three pages deep. Your plan then runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Fourteen days to change your mind

Ask within fourteen days of your first payment and we refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason, and the money goes back to the card you paid with.

There is one condition, and it exists to stop the obvious trick. Each SVG you download is digital content delivered the moment you ask for it, and a refund cannot take it back off your computer. So the full refund holds for as long as you have taken no more than five pictures — enough to try Hector properly on your own work and decide. Past five you have had the thing the plan sells, and we refund the unused part of the month instead.

That is not a trap we have set in the small print: converting and looking are free and unlimited, for everyone, forever. You can see precisely what Hector does with your own pictures, at any zoom, before you pay a penny. The plan buys the files, and the refund covers you if the files turn out not to be what you wanted.

Months after the first one

A renewal month that has already started is not refunded. Cancel before it renews and you will not be charged for it.

If something went wrong

Charged twice, Hector down for a stretch, or the service plainly not doing what we said it does? Write to us and we will put it right. We would far rather settle it ourselves than have you take it to your bank.

Downloads you have already taken

Files you downloaded stay yours. A refund does not take away the SVGs you have already saved, and you keep every right in them.

Downloads you did not use do not roll over and are not refundable in cash — the plan is a monthly allowance, not a wallet.

If a payment fails

Stripe retries a failed payment over a few days, and your plan keeps working while it does. If it still cannot take the money, the plan simply ends and your account goes back to free use. Nothing is sent to a debt collector, ever.

How to ask

One email to hello@hectorthevector.com, from the address on your account, saying what you would like. That is the whole procedure.
